:iconfillervillain: :iconsaysplz: "Ahem, testing, testing, is this working? Alrighty then, let's get to it. Hello everyone!

I'm Brigadier Jengo Wolfe, also known as the leader of the Neutral Land Civilian Guard. I'm sure most of you have noticed the decorations and hustle-bustle that's been going on lately in these charming Neutral Lands, and if you didn't already know the reason why... Well, every two years, the leaders of the four continents gather here to have an International Summit where they chat about various things that don't make much sense to the rest of us plebs. *coughs*

Anyway, this means business. The bigwigs won't be arriving here right away, but their ambassadors and Generals will be arriving before them. The leaders will be arriving here after that with their personal menageries, which means that faction members- yes, this means all Erius Knights and Quasers - you will be expected to be patrolling, guarding, and otherwise being useful during the summit. Of course, you don't have to listen to me, but your faction superiors will tell you the same, and I'm positive that you all know the consequences of disobeying your superiors. HAHAHA!

But don't worry, you won't be expected to be laboring away 24/7. Our own citizens and traveling merchants will be engaging in various nationalistic festivities, so be sure to have fun and make good memories! In fact, why not go ahead and challenge the Generals to some of the games? :iconbiggrinfaceplz:
Let's be real here, faction members, you guys won't have to be on serious guard duty until the leaders themselves arrive here. Erius Knights and Quasers are allowed to roam free and play games until June 19th. After that, your attention would be best spent on guarding the summit.

Well, have fun up til then! Until next time! :icongaywinkplz:"

Activities

Read carefully! There is a nationality bonus for most of the activities.
***Note: All screencaps must include RP post, dice/coin proof, and post time.
.

:bulletpurple: General

Slot Machines: Instructions
[To celebrate the upcoming summit, the casino has put up a special offer! For just 20 stellites, you are allowed 1 hour of slot machine play! This is a very special chance to earn unique prizes as well as crystals. Technically, the casino is only open to 21 and up, but, well... Don't get caught, eh? Please be sure to screencap and note your posts to the group.]

Beetle Catching: Every year as the summer months approach, rather... large beetles like to make their way out of the woodwork. Usually the merchants have no trouble dealing with them, but with the festivities surrounding the Summit, they're rather short on hands. Catch them for the merchants and they'll be happy to provide a reward!
[Use !coin every 10 minutes. Heads = +1 Crystal Shard. Please be sure to screencap and note all of your catches!]

Banner Decorating: Faction loyalty is often valued over nationality, but who wouldn't be filled with a little patriotic spirit during a time like this? Shops and homes all over the Neutral Lands have been decorated with the continents' flags, and merchants have set out small, blank banners for anyone who wants to decorate them with a little continental spirit.
[Draw your character's decorated banner(s) in exchange for crystals! Template and continent emblems can found below.]

:bulletblue: Melruun
Located at the river to the east of the Marketplace.

Swimming: What could be more Melruunian than swimming? Come to the river, grab a friend (or a couple) and have a good old fashioned race in the river! Any amount of people can race!
[The player can enter a race ONCE every 30 minutes. Use !roll 1d10 (Melruunians !roll 1d12) WITH an RP post as fast as you can! The first to reach a TOTAL of 70 wins the race, and receives a crystal. Keep track of your own progress and please note cap of final posts for ALL players. ]

Diving: Though many Melruunians make their livings as sailors, there are also many who seek their livelihood beneath the water's surface. Merchants have scattered wonders at the bottom of the river, so just take a deep breath and plunge in!
[Once every 15 minutes, use !roll 1d10 in the appropriate chatroom up to [5] times. (Melruunians up to [7].) Rolling 7-9 gets you a seashell while rolling a 10 = running out of air, and the game ends automatically. Exchange seashells for crystals, and remember to note screencaps of ALL of the posts in a winning session.]

:bulletyellow: Eivindr
Located at the northern end of the Marketplace.

Bamboo Copters: Ah, bamboo copters. Many an Eivindrians has fond memories of spinning these toys around and watching them fly into the air. (Others have not-so-fond-memories of being hit in the eye.) Come take one for a spin yourself!
[Once every 30 minutes, use !roll 5d10 (Eivindrians use !roll 5d11) to see how high the copter flies. Get a sum of 32+ in order to receive a crystal! ]

Stage Performance: Drama! Comedy! Tragedy! No matter where in society you hail from, theatre has always been a favorite Eivindrian pastime. Some of the local merchants have set up a stage in the corner of the marketplace and have provided costumes, make-up, and props for anyone who wishes to join or put on a play!
[Draw your character dressed up and/or participating in a play in exchange for crystals. Are they a jester, a mime, or perhaps one half of a pair of star crossed lovers? The possibilities are endless! Think Shakespeare.  Eivindrians will receive an EXP/crystal bonus for this activity.]

:bulletred: Ragnelia
Located at the volcano to the west of the Marketplace.

The Coal Path: In a country such as Ragnelia, there are sure to be plenty of opportunities for daredevils. The merchants have replicated one of them here, setting out a path of hot coals at the base of the volcano. Make your way barefoot across these coals of varying heat and try not to get burned!
[Once every 30 minutes, use !roll 1d10 in the appropriate chatroom in order see how hot the patch of coal is. If the number rolled is  equal to or less than [5] (Ragnelians equal/less than [7]), then the player may roll again/move forward. If the number rolled is greater than [5] (or [7] for Ragnelians), the player is burned and the game ends. Move forward 5+ times in order to win a crystal! Please keep track of your moves and cap and note ALL of the posts in a winning session. ]

Salamander Catching: Fire salamanders are a common sight around Ragnelia, and one can often see children competing to catch the speedy and often pain-inducing creatures. They also occupy the base of the volcano in the Neutral Lands, and with all the patriotic spirit around, if you bring one to a Ragnelian merchant, you'll probably get a reward. Just be careful, those things burn!
[Once every 15 minutes, use !roll 1d10 (Ragnelians !roll 1d8) up to FIVE times in the appropriate chat. If a 1 is rolled, the player is burned, and the game ends automatically. Rolling 2-4 gets the player a salamander. All other numbers, the salamander escapes. Remember to screencap and note ALL of the posts in a winning session.]

:bulletgreen: Kandera
Located at the southern end of the Marketplace.

Ulama: This simple game is a favorite Kanderan pastime. Using only their hips, players try to hit a rubber ball through a stone hoop many feet up in the air. Merchants have replicated this game at a giant wall near the forest, so come give it a shot!
[Once every 30 minutes, use !roll 1d12 (Kanderans !roll 1d10) in the appropriate chat. Roll 5 or lower in order to win one crystal.]

Totem Carving: The Kanderan district of the marketplace has been lavishly decorated with various flowers, plants, as well as intricate wooden sculptures. At various stalls, the supplies and tools to make your own wooden sculptures has been made available to the general public! Animals seem to be a popular motif, but that would be up to the sculptor!
[Draw your character's wood carvings in exchange for crystals. Kanderans will receive an EXP/crystal bonus for this activity.]

► Faction members below the ranks of Knight/Commander are not allowed near the heads of state or ambassadors.
► The Generals, on the other hand, are fair game. Feel free to chat them up or challenge them to a game-- you might even get a prize! Do keep in mind that those ranks aren't just for show, though...

► Chibis, sketches, lineart, and colored pieces are allowed to be submitted.
► Double EXP is only rewarded for full colored pieces. Background must be included.

I have a question about submitting art! ;v; It doesn't appear to be possible to submit art directly to the events folder--which subfolder are we supposed to put it in? apologies if the answer is really obvious and I'm just not seeing it ajhsgjasjh :iconlazycryplz:
